(HYG) HyGear Technology & Services B.V. ( is a SME based in Arnhem, The Netherlands, with focus on development and manufacturing of small scale gas processing plants and purification systems, such as fuel processors for fuel cells and on-site hydrogen generators (Hy.GENTM) for fuelling stations. HyGear’s core competence is small scale gas processing and purification of hydrogen and has flexible engineering skills, prototyping and testing capabilities. HyGear’s mission is to move hydrogen related technologies closer to market entry. With natural gas based Hy.GENTM-systems, HyGear proved to be successful; several new technologies are under development. The process used in the on-site hydrogen generators is the same as in large-scale plants – steam methane reforming in combination with pressure swing adsorption. The advantage of the products is saving of compression energy (electrical) and transportation energy compared to trucked-in hydrogen from large plants. The cost and energy savings are up to 70% compared to traditional hydrogen supply. HyGear has also been active in metal hydride storage for stationary hydrogen supply and fuel cell systems.

(SAES) SAES Getters S.p.A., (estabilished 1940) located in Lainate (a suburb of Milan) Italy, is the world leader and pioneer of getter technology. A getter is a device (usually a metal alloy component) used to maintain very high vacuum or to ensure high purity of gas used in industrial and scientific applications.

SAES Getters Group has been developing and offering commercially gas purifiers for the Semiconductor, LED, Solar industries for the past 30 years. It offers gas purifiers for all the bulk and speciality gases used in their processes. Today SAES is the worldwide leader in the supply of gas purifiers to all the global gas companies and leading electronics manufactures.

(HyET) HyET Hydrogen B.V. is a high-tech SME in Arnhem, The Netherlands and a global leader in developing new, breakthrough technology for an electrochemical hydrogen compressor and purifier without moving parts.
